Even though Brad Pitt is going through a divorce with Angelina Jolie, he has still found it within himself to maintain a friendship with his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.
E! News has apparently been received confirmation from a source that after divorcing back in 2005, the two still have a friendly relationship.
This statement has come out after the media released reports about the actor reaching out to Aniston during his messy divorce with Angelina Jolie.
This may be a surprise to some, however, to others, this is not. Aniston commented before about how she is still in contact with Pitt.
Anniston had an interview with The Hollywood Reporter back in 2015 where she stated, “We’re not in daily communication. But we wish nothing but wonderful things for each other. Nobody did anything wrong. You know what I mean? It was just like, sometimes things happen. If the world only could just stop with the stupid, soap-opera bulls–t. There’s no story. I mean, at this point it’s starting to become—please, give more credit to these human beings.”
Pitt isn’t the only one who has maintained a relationship with his ex, it seems that Jolie also has maintained a relationship with her ex-husband, Billy Bob Thornton.
Thornton had an interview with Playboy back in November and told the magazine that even though they don’t talk on a regular, they are still friends.
He told the magazine, “That won’t ever go away. Sometimes I won’t see her for five years. But I offer. I know she’s been through a lot. She’s a great person. And she’s one of the people who didn’t abandon me. She never has.”
It was just a few years ago that he was gushing, “She’s amazing, amazing. She’s got so much energy and so much goodness in her, and we check in on each other all the time. She makes sure I’m doing OK. I make sure she’s doing OK.”
Now when it comes to Pitt and Jolie still feeling something in their hearts for one another, the actress did comment stating that they are still a family.
Last week, when Jolie spoke for the first time on the divorce with BBC World News, she stated, “I don’t want to say very much about that, except to say it was a very difficult time. We are a family and we will always be a family, and we will get through this time and hopefully be a stronger family for it.”
