CBS Los Angeles reports that, after a year and a half, Jorge and Maria Valle, the parents of the young man who drowned in Demi Moore’s pool, back on July 19, 2015, have filed a suit.
The Tree House, who happens to be the Beverly Hills home, is being sued by the parents. The parents are also suing the hosts of the party, Bessy Wong and Lenny Hernandez.
The death of Edenilson Steven Valle, 21, had been ruled accidental by the authorities.
The lawsuit was filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court by Valle’s parents on Tuesday claimed that it was unlikely that the young man went into the deep end by him self, since he couldn’t swim. The suit also alleged that the young man had no clue that Hernandez had alcohol at the party and that there were multiple “dangerous conditions at the premises”.
Also stated in the lawsuit is the “House manager Lenny Hernandez knew there was drinking that night and in fact she was serving alcohol at a party which was unsafe to host.
The plaintiffs are claiming that the pool did not have any indication of the depth and there were an abundant amount of decorative rocks that could have caused someone to trip.
It has been reported, that during the incident, the authorities were able to state that Moore was not at the house
Demi Moore expressed, “I was out of the country traveling to meet my daughters for a birthday celebration when I got the devastating news. The loss of a child is an unthinkable tragedy and my heart goes out to this young man’s family and friends.”
It has not yet been determined just how much The Valles are seeking for the damages in regards to the wrongful-death and negligence allegations.
At the current time Hernandez and/or a representative of the trust have not yet made a comment.
